MURRA

THE BIG PICTURE

Why? Recreational vehicles and rally raids have been driven by IC engines for too long- fossil fuels are unsustainable and the sport is lacking innovation.

How? We believe in sustainability! Renewable energy, fuel and materials offer progressive thinking which is the first step the industry needs to take. In addition to offering an alternative and futuristic setup, we combine it with a proven lightweight chromium-molybdenum alloy steel lightweight frame, high-performance custom OZ Racing wheels and the latest generation of battery technology combined with two electric motors to start a new age of sustainable racing.

What? The Murra Xerus T3.U series hybrid electric buggy uses two high-performance electric motors for a combined power of 162kW, regenerative braking and instant acceleration while creating fewer emissions and noise while having a simpler construction and unique functional design compared to our competitors.

DESIGN DRIVEN

The Murra T3.U buggy offers a contrast between a modern sustainable vehicle and a high-performance rally machine. The silhouette of the vehicle is sharp and precise, the buggy is built with strong solid wings giving a wide stance resembling a strong human physique with wide shoulders. Full-width headlights and taillights create a modern look and differentiate it from the rest of the competition. The rear and front blades add unique areas to attach extra lights and gear. In addition to functionality, these wings resembling blades are suspended from the frame and add a lightweight feel. The graphical design of the vehicle contrasts with the simplistic exterior design, they serve the purpose of visually reducing vertical weight and adding a more dynamic, forward-looking stance. The sharp lines complimented with a geometric pattern add a modern tech-camo aesthetic- these scattered rectangles are a visual representation of pixelated sand grains flying around the vehicle as it races through the desert.

The result of the exterior design is a highly functional and minimalistic buggy with a bold and bespoke presence.

OUR PROCESS AND GOAL

Build Quality, Sustainability & Innovation:

Everything from its chromium-molybdenum alloy steel lightweight frame, high-performance custom OZ Racing wheels, to the latest generation of battery technology makes the Murra T3.U  buggy an extremely reliable vehicle built to withstand the roughest terrain and extreme temperatures, offering the driver and co-driver a wide and stable stance ready for the unpredictable environments in Rally Raid discipline.

Additionally, the team at Murra is taking a step towards a more sustainable future, the bodywork and the inner panels of Xerus are built using Bcomp’s natural fibre composites cutting down the weight of the vehicle even further while maintaining rigidness and emitting significantly less CO2, with our engine also running on biofuels to reduce our carbon footprint even further.
